Søren Viegand is M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering with more than 25 years of experience in environmental engineering, environmental due diligence services, investigation and remediation of contaminated sites, hydrogeology and water supply. His experience within contaminated sites includes inventories, investigations, risk assessments and remediation of contaminated sites. He has served as project manager in numerous contaminated soil projects for authorities as well as for private clients including large multinational industries like oil companies.

He has been project manager or quality assurance manager for a large number of environmental due diligence projects in relation to acquisitions and divestitures for multinational industries, private equity funds and real estate companies.

Mr. Viegand has since 1994 had staff management responsibilities and he is presently serving as Vice President for Contaminated Sites and EDD (Environmental Due Diligence) in COWI. Furthermore, he is COWI’s management representative in CAT Alliance Ltd.,

He has spent approx. 7 years of his professional life on long and short term assignments abroad, and his international experience includes more than 30 countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia, North and South America.
