Dr. Peter Young, BSc (hons), CChem, CIWEM, CIWM is a principal consultant based in the United Kingdom. He brings 34 years of experience in the environmental consulting field with a focus on environmental liability assessment and strategic environmental management in the UK and internationally across Europe, Asia and America. He was a founding Director of the CAT Alliance and served as its managing director for 13 years. He has advised on numerous national and international transactions, managing teams across many jurisdictions.
Technically, he has extensive experience understanding the fate and impact of gaseous, soil and groundwater contaminants, evaluating environmental liabilities, performing environmental audits for industry and in litigation work. Peter has also developed financially robust estimating methods to quantify, manage and reduce environmental liabilities associated with heavy industry property portfolios, military land, nuclear power plants and more conventional property portfolios.
